Does anyone care about Amazon Prime Day

No. Not since Amazon provided horrible customer service for their forums and I cancelled Prime and look to other sellers first now.

But when I had Prime, I didn't see any good deals on that day. They're really getting to be too big anyway.

Sometimes I'll get lucky and some small item I wanted goes on sale. I don't bother with the big items, always sold out a nanosecond after they go live.

And what's this? I noticed the site already has a 'Prime Day has started' banner. So now it's a multi-day 'Prime Day'?

Last year's was pretty lackluster, so no, I'm not excited about this year.

Plus, I'll be traveling for work that day, so I'll miss out anyways.

Insert shameless Amazon smile post here.

I like Amazon Smile... it's nice to know that they give a cut of their sale profits to charities if you ask them to.

I wish that they had that option for my AWS account... they could probably replant the rain forests with a cut of my monthly hosting charges 🙂

Seriously, though, they should just give away Echo Dots to anyone with a Prime account that spends more than an average of $500 a month on Prime Day. They're practically guaranteed to make that money back with people making impulse purchases with Alexa.

I picked up a 6 quart Instant Pot for $70, if I remember the price right, during Prime Day last year. It's the only thing I've ever bought during Prime Day, but that wasn't a bad score. I'm not really excited for it, but I wouldn't mind a deal like that.

Actually, I thought it was lackluster two years ago. Last year, I bought a lot of stuff that I actually use at prices I have yet to see that low again.

Glad I read this thread, a bunch of friends are excited about their Prime Day purchases and I thought I was the only one who just didn't care. xD

I don't buy random crap and the chances the few items I want going on sale are next to zero.

So no, I won't waste time following the event.

twas crap two years ago, mostly crap last year (though I did get my instant pot). I'll check it out, to see if there is actually something that I need...like a deal on those plastic interlocking tiles which I need for the basement...
