Bread, rolls, english muffins, cupcakes, they all freeze well. A good seal is the important thing. Don't just toss the loaf into the freezer in its regular bag, you need an airtight container or it'll get ruined.
you can keep it in the fridge to hold off molding too.Originally posted by: Nitemare
My freezer is too small. If I had a standalone freezer I would though.

My mom does. I dont understand why she just doesnt purchase less bread at once and avoid wasting freezer space.

Technically, you save electricity buy putting more stuff in your fridge and freezer. You can actually save a bit of money by filling the empty spaces in your fridge/freezer with water jugs. Considering fridges are power hogs, its probably a good idea.
she's crazy like that, always stocking things and making rounds to all us kids (heh, we're all above 30 y/o, not kids i guess), dropping off whatever she finds on sale. she's a saint really. it's not like i (or my 7 brothers and sisters) need the stuff, she's just always thinking of other and preparing for the worst. she has a basement full of food, a second huge freezer for meat.Originally posted by: alkemyst
if you are still having your mom supply your bread, there are probably lots of things you haven't heard of.
milk too? how long does that last in the freezer?Originally posted by: Modelworks
I do all the time.
Especially if it is on sale.
Same thing for milk.
I have personally never done this, but I have known people that do. It works fairly well I guess. Not sure how long it lasts.Originally posted by: rise
