Does anyone actually care about football this year?

I may watch the super bowl but football just seems boring this year with the failed talks and morons on both side such as James Harrison and the stupidity on NFL policing hits. I couldn't care less. Hockey is more action packed and baseball is more mentally stimulating. Sorry to say this, but I will not be watching a bunch of overpaid NFL crybabies play this year and most likely for years to come.

umm, yes big time. NFL season is my favorite time of the year as it starts to get cold and I sit inside on the couch all sunday watching games.

right now is the worst time of the year for sports, nothing is on except baseball.

i'm sure your 1 person viewership lost will hurt the largest money making sport.

No, I do not care about football, and have not cared about in in close to 15 years.

It seems that every year there was yet another stupid rule, like having the receivers report to the ref before the play. I stopped watching football when a lineman caught the ball, ran for several yards, and the play was called back because the lineman did not report as being a receiver.

You haven't watched football since 1951?

I'd rather there be a season than no season, but I'm kinda pissed at the whole lot of them. If they play, I'll watch. If they don't, fuck em all.

Heck yes. I'm closely following the local sports radio stations, I've got my charts and lists of all the legal moves and possibilities, I'm fully involved in discussing the implications of the day-to-day developments. This is shaping up to be a summer for the record books, conflict-wise.

The actual game of football, not so much. Just enjoying the politics and shenanigans.

I considered your opinion as valid until I read the bold part.

Do I care? Hell yes.

Am I gonna lose sleep over it? Nope.

At this point, the season is totally FUBAR'D. They should just cancel it...use the time to work out the collective bargaining agreement...and HOPEFULLY, go back to playing next year.
MAYBE they will still have players and fans by then...

Since the Player's Association has decertified...why can't someone else start a new league...and let the players play in that league while all the petty bullshit works itself out? I'm sure, facing a drought of football for the season, the various networks would be fighting to cover the games...

Yes! I want to see Peyton go for a new personal pick record. :awe:

I'm afraid you're under arrest for public idiocy.

I'm going to have to come up with a new weekly feature since Mike Singletary got canned. Maybe Jack Del Rio will be my new target?

Unless you've actually played baseball and football, you'd understand which involves more strategy. (Hint: it's not football). Most people think baseball is boring because they don't understand all of the rules and pitches and situational moves a manager has to make on every single pitch. Pop quiz: which pitch do hitters have the highest probability to hit and against what pitch? What is the best count for a batter to swing? What is a pitcher's 12-6 and why is it considered a compliment? How many different scenarios can play out 1st and 3rd, 1 out?

Football has some strategy but a good QB that can read the defense will almost always find a seam to pass to (or scramble). Just as Aaron Rodgers did in the last Super Bowl. Or Brady's dink and dunk slants that won superbowls and easily neutralized the blitz/zone. Manning, Montana. It's just too easy for the QB to beat the D. No, I don't want to see Drew Brees throw for 500 yards a game or Manning for another 400.

Yes, I look forward to Saturdays/Sundays all week during football season.
I love college and professional football.

I agree. Baseball is more strategy, football is more athletics, end of story.
