Does anybody really honestly want Sarah Palin to hold an elected office??

To some extent Palin's problem is that she can make money for herself, or she can try to become informed about issues, build consensus's, and become a credible politician.

Some politicians start with the latter, and then make money while they bide their time to to run.

Palin is simply trying to skip that become informed step and its why she probably never will get the GOP nomination for a POTUS. Palin may be the number one pick of the 1/3 of the overall GOP radical right, but someone who has sufficient cred with that same extreme right GOP wing and much better cred with the other 2/3'rd of the GOP will get the GOP nomination.

But no doubt about it, Palin is making money for her self.

Or we could talk about someone like GWB, who was somewhat of a stealth candidate, if we knew GWB's real views like we did by 2006, he never would have won in 2000. Like Goldwater, Palin wears her views on her sleeve.

NO.

wait. that's really not how i feel. OHH FUCK NO! KEEP that fucking quitter AWAY from fucking political office!

hmm that really don't get how i feel about her..but close enough.

I agree with some of her ideas. Couldn't do any worse than Obama, but then again that's certainly not the best qualifications for holding office.

man......... how old are you? and what did u study, and what do you do in life to make a living?

I just want to understand the background of an average Palin supporter!!

Go to a tea party rally. That will give you an idea. The average Palin supporter is a normal American who is tired of government overstepping it's constitutional authority. They are also gravely concerned about the direction Obama is heading.

Oh, and they typically work and pay taxes. Taxed Enough Already.

They didn't seem so concerned before when we were fighting unprovoked wars, getting taxed more and definitely heading in the wrong direction.

LOL, what were Bush's credentials - never having been out of the country except party runs across the Mexican border IIRC, running a few companies with daddy's money into the ground (and bailed out by the Saudis and other wanting the connections), corrupt actions like illegally using inside information to make money while director of a company who had bought him out, who asked him to leave because he did nothing else but tell racy jokes, and bought governor with his father's name in Texas, with a very weak governor?

You know who had credentials? Richard Nixon, Congressman, Senator, Vice-President for eight years.

Obama won the election in a campaign against much more experienced opponents, in his party and the other. That was illustrative of his qualifications.

Palin hadn't even done that - she had a nothing job (the current Mayor of Wassila explained they don't run anything, not schools, police, etc., and she just comes in for a meeting a week to sign checks), was propelled up by speaking out against the corrupt act of the incumbent, and was hand-picked late in the game by the McCain campaign for being a right-wing woman to try to appeal to upset Hillary supporters and whom the tea party would go for for her ridiculous statements. She would read what she was handed.

'Obama likes to pal around with terrorists!'

I think I missed something, Bush had no qualifications, but Obama's qualifications are being elected President? Because, I think Bush has the same qualification, two times (as sad as that is).

Funny, I always see a bunch of old people who are on medicare screaming about the government. Too bad irony is only taught in liberal schools.

Palin would be great in any job she takes, as the first time things look bad for her she'd instantly quit. Then someone who hopefully has actual competence could take over.

If you've honestly attended and still believe that it is certainly not the norm. But that is the image the looney left is trying to portray.

No matter. We're still taking the country back.

In possibly 12-15 more years.....
It will take you all that long to get on the same page.
Right now it`s open mouth insert foot for the Republicans!!

The Spidey problem with taking the country back is that whomever Spidey backs has to get
more than 50% of the vote. And failing that 50.1% of the vote Spidey&ilk will be wasting only their own time and effort and will have achieved nothing.

Nor should spidey be talking about the norm, when Spidey is only about the norm for about 14% of the American electorate.

Elections almost always come down to the lessor of two evils. I am not that much of a Palin fan, but put her up against somebody like Pelosi and I would vote for her....

As Spidey sez, Guess you haven't been paying attention to the Republican primaries.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spidey it just depends on how you view and characterize GOP primaries, methinks JEDI is correct, many of the recent GOP primaries look very much like an exercise into opening mouth and inserting foot. And that GOP candidates with the biggest mouth and hence able to eat more of their own feet tend to to come out as winners.

Sometimes a good strategy for primaries, but often a poor strategy for winning general elections.

oh god.

i don't know what i would do. One is pure evil the other stupid.

this can't ever EVER happen.

Palin v Pelosi, a false choice because it will not happen. Pelosi is not running for Pres but Palin might. Nor is it likely that Palin will become a resident of California, establish residency in Pelosi's congressional district, and challenge Pelosi for her seat in congress.

you damn liberal hippy... don't you know the super CIA family has brainwashed all republicans to think anything done by a Bush or Reagan helped the country and THE CITIZENS OF THE USA

That would certainly explain Obama's appeal.

Naturally all you knee jerk Republicans keep trying to change this thread into an Obama thread...get over it!! You lost the White house!!

Bush...lol.....
Actually no it would not explain Obama`s appeal......
Nobody who voted for Obama would ever vote for Palin...you have to give more credit where it`s due...
