I guess it depends on your experiences and personality. For some reason The Wall has always really moved me. I still get goose bumps watching it and what he is feeling.

I owned it on VHS and then DVD 🙂

Roger Waters claims it was a fictional character and was from when the he realized he wanted (and tried to) to beat a fan and that their was distance between the band and the fans.

I think it was much more than that though

Yeah, it was a semi autobiographical story about Waters. It even talks about this on the back of the DVD I have.

I think that Pink Floyd did a lot of much better music than what stuck in my mind from The Wall, which was the song "The Wall" and I guess some other stuff. It was their attempt at getting programatic, dramatic, and some other bands were doing things like that. Such as The Who with Tommy.
