You know, The Wall was a pretty OK movie but it was kind of dark and morbid, obsessive and although the animation was kind of cool, I don't know if it's the kind of movie I'd want to see a bunch of times. I guess they were haunted by WW II. I guess I am too, when I think about it. It must have been pretty harsh if you were in London. They were being bombed by the Nazis. Horrible days....

Yeah.
Bad times.

I just watched the DVD again today. (While working. DON'T TELL the BOSS!)

You know what the film was about though don't you?

I guess it depends on your experiences and personality. For some reason The Wall has always really moved me. I still get goose bumps watching it and what he is feeling.

I owned it on VHS and then DVD 🙂

No, I guess not. Saw it a long time ago. What was it about?

Roger Waters claims it was a fictional character and was from when the he realized he wanted (and tried to) to beat a fan and that their was distance between the band and the fans.

I think it was much more than that though

Yeah, it was a semi autobiographical story about Waters. It even talks about this on the back of the DVD I have.

It is sad how much I like and relate with Pink Floyd's music (mainly Water lyrics).

I think that Pink Floyd did a lot of much better music than what stuck in my mind from The Wall, which was the song "The Wall" and I guess some other stuff. It was their attempt at getting programatic, dramatic, and some other bands were doing things like that. Such as The Who with Tommy.

Me too brother, me too.

You know, I drove my wife to hating Pink Floyd. She says that "she has heard them too much and they are too depressing".

🙁

Yeah, well they can be.

Thankfully I don't have a wife (I guess thats a good thing?) and my dog doesn't care one way or the other. 😉

Pink Floyd be the shiznit. I think it's pretty cool that Korn did a cover of one of Floyd's songs. Not the same feel to it though. Get off on Pink Floyd everybody!
