What do you think of it? I started reading it in 1997 and it was in my opinion, pretty good. But lately the thing has been about 75% ads. I like how they have that quarterly style guide and I'd probably still buy it because I like some of the articles (like Ask the Bartender). But it's really starting to get disappointing. Are there any other magazines like it (I don't want strictly fitness)?

maxim - much racier than any of the older established mags (i.e. men's health, gq, esquire).
they always feature some scantily clad honey on the front and a review of guy gizmos. no stories
of so-called substance to be distracted by 😉

i read it a while back. after a while it had the same things in every issue: sex and exercise. I got this new mag called Outside which is a lot of fun.

Do these magazines have workout routines, tips and advice? I kind of just want a Men's Health clone that just doesn't stuff itself with advertisements...that ratio is way too high for MH. When I said I don't want just fitness I guess I was implying something like Men's Fitness which I don't really find very interesting.

Men's Health is pretty good still. Yeah the ads have increased, but I'm finding that with most of the mags I read. Men's Journal is good if you like to travel/hike/camp/etc. I got an email from a guy at Men's Health who said they are working on a mobile channel. (he wouldn't say if it was going to be through Avantgo)
