They seem awfully trendy, but are they any good? My New Balance running shoes (yes I run in them) are getting fairly worn and need to be replaced. So any thoughts?

I had a pair for a year. I spent $150 on them and they were pretty comfortable. But I would not buy another pair. I recently just bought a pair of Nike jogging shoes with a similar thing in the heel like the shocks. I only paid $60 for them.

I say buy something different.

The Nike Impax? How do you like them?

I have 4 pairs of them. The ones with just the rear shox are not as comfortable as the ones with the full-foot shox. The full-foot shox are unbelievable... I think they're the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had, by far surpassing ANY pair of Air Maxes I've ever had. These are the ones I'm talking about:

omg

$140 for shoes?! You could buy a 3000+ Winchester for that amount.

Dont be a hero punk, take off your Barkley's or your gonna catch a hot one.

Nah, they do it like this. "Hey man, nice shoes. I like your shoes man. Let's see them shoes. Take 'em off." *stab stab, punch punch, stab* If I remember correctly, that's how my pair of Super Freaks (Randy Moss) got mugged.

NEW Balance has and probably always will have the best pure running shoes. I've had the first generation shox and I'm not too impressed. However, the new shox look really cool and promising. but NEw balance is the way to go.

I didn't buy them from that site. I paid $95 I think.

But given the choice between spending $140 on shoes or a processor, I'd go for the shoes.

Im not sure what they are called. But if you know the shoe Im talking about.....yes, they are extremely comfortable, even more so than the shox.

similar to these?

If so, those are Impax.

Yea, those are the exact ones. I bought the white ones. I actually did a lot of shopping around and tried on a lot of different shoes trying to find the best fit and feel for the best price. I was looking at some New Balances also.

I'd like to go try a pair of Impax out. I'm curious how they feel, compared to my SHox.

what about those adidas-1 's

Those are cool as fsck. I'd like to give them a try too, but they are out of even my shoe price range. $250 is just a tad steep.

According to the February issue of Popular Science, Paula Radcliffe is the fastest female marathon runner and she uses Nike Zoom shoes, which she worked with Nike to design.

Take that for what you will.

Basically, it has a cpu and a sensor, which adjusts the amount of cushioning based on what you're doing and what sort of surface(s) you're on.

Holy sh!t, how much and where can I buy a pair?

$250 I think, and I have not yet seen them in stores. Not sure when they will be available.

I've owned 4 pairs of shox - the two of the original r4's, a pair of NZ's, and just bought a pair of Monsters on sale for $35 🙂D). They're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, but I only wear them as a daily walker though, like for walking around school and hanging out. As a running shoe, they're not very good imo. I used to run with Asics GT 2030's...I think they're up to 2100's now. But, those asics were soooo much more comfortable to run in. So, if you're just looking for a daily walker I'd recommend shox if you like the look, but if you want a dedicated running shoe I'd look elsewhere, such as asics, saucony, brooks, NB, etc.

You can get nice shoes for thirty bucks, so unless you participate in marathons then why bother spending triple the amount?

and you can get an athlon xp for 60 bucks, why bother spending $140?

buy whatever the fvck you want. personally i'd rather spend the money on shoes/clothing than i would a new cpu. everyone has priorities.
