Does anybody hate Sony, but love their products?

I was talking to a few of my friends and we got to talk about how we all hate Sony. We also agreed that they make a ton of kickass products. Anybody else feel this way?
 
Sony scares me sometimes, in that they have too much power over what the general public thinks is technologically possible at any given moment. It's because of this power that makes me the most suprised (still) that Apple has had such success with the iPod.

You bring up Apple made me think. A lot of people hate Apple, but agree they have some very good products. Im one of them and I feel the same way abotu Sony.

Sony is one of my OEM's i do technical research for at work, their customer service pissed me off the most. that and tiny computer systems.

MY Boss swears that apple did everything first... Its so hard to convince him that PCs came out with stuff and apple repackaged it and sold it.
 
lots of their stuff break easily and for mysterious reasons :|

reason to hate sony - hype machine like no other. EQ sucked (i spent an hour trying to get out of town WITH A GUIDE, and could not do it), made infantry/cosmic rift P2P

products i hate - EQ, infantry/cosmic rift now that they are totally unbalanced, ps2 for its overratedness, ps3 for being a product of hype (i dont own any consoles, dont plan to, i:heart:my comp)

i WILL say, my sony cd player took years of abuse and finally died on me a few days ago. for that product, i give them:thumbsup:

why are you surprised? the only company that has more power to make something "cool" than sony is apple.
 
The only Sony products I like are their small portable audio devices. Anything else I'd rather guy from another manufacturer.
 
I only have a Sony CD player and a PS2. The PS2 broke on me, and the CD player stops taking batteries once they reach 30% capacity.
