Does anybody else think Squaresoft sucks now?

So whaddya think? The last couple of Final Fantasy games sucked, The Bouncer got bad reviews, and all their games just don't seem to "do it" for me any more. Their last great game was Final Fantasy III (FF6 in Japan). *siiiiiiiiiiigh* How I miss those days...

I enjoyed chrono cross and vagrant story. Never finished them due to time constraints though and I haven't tried FFIX yet, although it is supposed to be great.

haven't played CCross nor Vagrant Story, though heard they were pretty good. FFIX is okay. I wish they'd just go back to their roots in FF2&3.. maybe the team responsible for those games aren't there any longer..

Hrmm...from what I heard, FFIX was a step back towards the old days.

Ah well...oh, I think that Chrono Trigger should be classified as the last great game.

I liked xenogears also.

Gah! Xenogears!?!? The story was so long and there were spots in the game that I had to read for 30-45 mins just to get to the action that I quit that game. Not many good RPG's out there any more..

I liked ff7 8 and 9, although 8 was not up to par with the other 2, it certainly was a good game.

I hear good things about their other games but I don't have the time to play them.

Bouncer I heard was great but the problem was that it was short. Almost like a fighting game where you just try to beat it with each character or try to unlock characters or something.

Not to mention FFX coming out for ps2, that will surely be a hit.

Vagrant story was an excellent game....FF7 was awesome...8 was slightly better..i liked the graphic improvements over the gay storyline more than anything..waiting for a pc conversion of 9 hopefully....FFX will be the reason when i go buy a PS2 again over an Xbox. i cashed in on the ps2 craze on sold it when it debuted

well...if you're old school...get an emulator. That's what I'm gonna do, since my laptop isn't much of a gaming rig.

Xenogears was a great game. One of my favorites. I don't know of another RPG that let you control mechas and stuff.

Xenogears was ok. CD2 was boring. Chrono Cross was very good. FF9 was good. FF8 sucked. FF7 was a movie.

illkid: Go play Virtual On. That game kicks so much ass. Got emulators.. played them till they die.. then bored.. then wait another year and play them again..
All time favorite RPG's are in no particular order: FF 1-3 US, Dragon Warrior 1-4.. Shining Force ain't bad either.. although it's more strategy I think..
