Does anybody else not play video games anymore?

When i was a kid I was an absolute fanatic. Remember when Nintendo Power offered you all 50 issues of the magazine for the low-low price of $50? I bought that. I was an absolute video game nut. And I remember thinking, as a child, "man, when I get old, I'm just gonna play video games all the time!"

Yet, now, in one of the greatest video game eras in history, I'm totally not interested anymore. I'm now 21 and too preoccupied with my studies, finding a job, getting on with life, etc.

I bought a Gamecube and Metroid Prime in that great deal a few months ago and I enjoyed it but then I was like, "I don't have the time for this..." and gave it back.

Anybody else feel this way?

 

I used to be that way, but now I have changed my eronious ways.

I don't have a console, just my PC.
Now and again I will go to some place like Gameworks and play "video games"... \
I don't play too many games during the school semesters...

I just have a PC..no consoles. I've thought about picking up a PS2 & GT3..but I can't really afford it..

I don't play games a whole lot, but it's nice once in a while..

greatest video game era? dayum son you must be smoking some GOOD stuff.

Half-Life 2 is all we got to look forward to! It will own though.

I play video games a little bit in the summer. During the school year I don't have the time for it.

Anyway, this isn't the greatest video game era. NES still owns.

i've stopped playing games pretty much. i was looking forward to doom3.. but i don't even know if i'll play that. for some reason, games have lost their appeal to me. it's fun to watch ppl play sometimes, but that is generally short-lived.

Eh, I play video games. Its just hard for me to be "satisfied" by the games. It's weird. I get bored of GOOD games so quickly, I don't even beat them before getting bored.

Then buy GTA or GTA:VC for PC.

I really only play Xbox now, and not much. I used to play tons of DOD, CS, TFC etc. Now I just play a little Halo or World Series Baseball 2k3 once or twice a week. Over the summer I will have tons more time and I think I'll pick up Sim City 4, but that's about it. Just doesn't interest me like it used to.

I know exactly what you mean! I have tons of Gamecube games over on the other side of the room that I have yet to finish. I just don't have time I guess. Maybe I should try to sell them off, as Im planning on getting back into PC gaming when I move out.

I definitely dont have the time I used to to play secret of mana and get to lvl 99 and all that, but I definitely find time to finish every great pc, ps2 and gamecube game out there.
