I mean, come on!! What a dumb game. It takes the players 3 mins to line up and start playing and when they do, they have some quick tackle or something and the play is over in like 20 secs!

Only baseball rivals it as being so damn boring people have to gulp down 3 liters of beer just to get through the damn game!

Well compared to Soccer where Nancy Boys prance around in shorts and the games often end up 1 to 0 as a result of penalty kick I think it's fairly exciting, especially if it's played well. Unfortunately there are only a couple of Pro Teams of late that actually play it well..The Rams and The Packers.

yeah forreal, soccer is incredibly boring. the fact that you're playing what, 45 minute halves is realy stupid. the players get super tired and stuff, don't even have the energy to hustle, and just take their sweet time marching down the field, make a kick and then have the goalie take it. booooooooooooooooooooooooring

american football, u have violence, lots and lots of violence w00t

I played soccer for ten years and it was a great game. I dont think there was ever a dull moment (except when I was playing goalie and we were kicking butt, no action for me).

i think you are a little mixed up, soccer players aren't like fat linemen, or most footbal players, they don't need two minutes between plays to rest so that they can play for 30 seconds, and most soccer players can play another 30 minutes after that, i've seen overtime games where 8 or 9 players would still be in the game after 120 minutes of game time, which works out to about 80 to 90 minutes of non-stop action.
oh and most americans hate soccer because it takes a lot of skill, thats why hockey isn't as popular here, but since hockey as more contact it does attract some attention, most american sports revolve around jumping real high, running fast, hitting the ball real far or just being big and fat, no doubt there are some basketball, football, and baseball players that have a tremendous amount skill, but soccer and hockey are sports that revolve around the skill of the player, not the athlectic ability

Lol. The "nancy boys" don't wear 50kg worth of equipment.

Soccer (AKA Real Football) is great if you watch it live or play it.

Hell is Soccer is such a manly sport how did the French ever manage to win the World Cup... J/K Michael:)

No doubt. But from an American Spectators view it doesn't seem that exciting at all. Of course us getting our asses whooped badly all the time probably has a lot to do with that:)

I don't like watching sports in general.

IMO sports are ment to be PLAYED, not watched.

And sitting around getting plowed watching someone ELSE have all the fun (and stay in shape) is just BOREING..............

And paying these players (any pro players) the kind of $$$ they do is CRAZY!

And your point is? ;)

C'mon, you wussball 'whoving' wanker, American football has it all! Violence for the guys, studs in tight pants for the gals, and, for the "can't we all get along" internationalists, an impartial grid of base 10, metric like segments nobly combined with the classic English/American system of inches, feet and yards.

Toss in festive, sure to please beer commercials that serve to unite and define our great Nation, AND scantily clad cheerleaders -- what's NOT to like?

At an Eagles game here in Philadelphia, entertaining extracurricular activities abound!! You and your loved ones can participate in fights in the parking lot, fights along the concourse, or fights in the stands themselves. Just wear the colors of the opposing team!

And it causes some morons to start comparing the size of their Penis with those who root for the other team.

um... i dont think football pads are anywhere near that much (theyre made mainly of plastic) i should know, i play football

and just because the huge linemen get rest in between plays (and its about 40 seconds at most, not 3 minutes), doesnt make it really easy. have you ever tried to go up against another linemen? much more tiring of a spot than a runningback

play? come now, maybe you're not reading correctly, they play for 120 minutes, but it's a slooooooow paced game. nonstop action my arse, you really haven't seen the simpsons soccer episode? lol

i don't doubt that it's fun to play, or it takes skill to play, believe me i don't. but it's so incredibly boring to watch
