Me me me.

Which today was food.

I did my impulse shooping last week thank you very much. Mostly entertainment/media stuff that I doubt went on sale.

Mostly for me, but I do get the occasional gift. For example, I did get my 3 year old an amazon fire childrens tablet.

However, it was not related to Black Friday per say, but I did pay for a new snowmobile that I will be picking up over the weekend, one of these - https://www.arcticcat.com/snow/sleds/model/2017-en-m-8000-mountain-cat-162/

Cant wait to go track up some beautiful snow covered hillsides with that thing very soon.

Yeah. Last year I got a bunch of Chromebooks for my family & extended family. Have enjoyed a year of tech-support-free bliss. Part of the condition of the gift was that they give me their old Windows computer & I transfer all their stuff up to the free 100-gig Google cloud storage that was included for 2 years with each laptop. It's been glorious. I recommend them to people 90% of the time as computer upgrades when they ask, unless they have a special need for an app that doesn't live out in the cloud somewhere (like video editing).

It's just another day. Yesterday I bought a couple gifts cause I had my phone in my hand, but they weren't any cheaper than any other time. I don't really need anything, and I get most of my stuff used. It's always black friday when I shop, but I have to wait til they offer something I want.

Ha he hates Black Friday so much if he must pay for something on Black Friday it'll be something old and used and don't bother offering any discounts damn it.

The day is not a big deal to me either and most of our shopping is already done, but I did pick up a couple items that I will need soon so that I could take advantage of the sales. Would be stupid to wait two weeks to order and pay full price.

Both were new items. A deck of playing cards, and a stethoscope for my daughter. Both purchased on a Friday that has some special name I don't care about. I could have waited til Saturday, but I wanted to get it done.

For gifts, I generally buy new, though if I can clean something to mint condition, or used is intrinsic to its nature, I'll buy used. Thinking about getting my mother a Vmail package I saw on a surplus site. Not sure yet. She doesn't really need stuff laying around, but it's kind of cool.

wife and I buy things we want, and say "Merry Christmas" often. No wrapping paper is harmed.

I have cancer so our holiday will be modest, I picked up a few things online but no brick and mortar shopping. I had treatment on Black Friday & that was exhausting enough.

Got my daughter some combat boots today. Saw them awhile ago at goodwill, but they disappeared. I assumed they were sold, but they moved them to a different part of the store. I'm hoping they fit. She has tiny feet. They're a size 3.5W. The width is what I'm really worried about. They were a great deal. $25 and they're brand new. If they fit, they'll be much better than the duck boots she asked for, but if not, she should be able to sell them, and I'll get her the duck boots. I can get them to school before she gets back.

Bought a Lenovo laptop at Office Depot 2 days before Thanksgiving on a 24hr sale. Actually went to the store, but no crowds then. Saved $250. It's a gift. Thanksgiving I ordered a laptop cooler for me. Amazon lightning deal. Saved $25. Also ordered an Xbox One game as a gift. Black Friday Amazon special saved $35. Ordered a 32GB flash drive for me for $5 from Walmart Black Friday/Thanksgiving Day sale for pickup in the store at a later date. Saved a few bucks (it was on sale for $5.) Ordered an iPad mini from Walmart's Black Friday ad also for pickup later. That's a gift. I've seen it before for $199 but only around this time of year and never any lower than that.

Didn't buy anything. I am eyeing the possibility of a 4k monitor though, but I'll probably wait and play it by ear. There tends to be deals throughout the whole Christmas season. Even Boxing day tends to be a week or more now. Basically until they sell everything.

For Christmas gifts I tend to be very last minute. I never know what to buy anyone, tend to keep it simple, gift card or something.

My local BB has tents pitched outside starting the week before so I suppose that people still do this. I didn't buy anything because I'm a struggling student again this year.
