Does any DVD player have a sleep timer?

Pretty much every TV I've owned for a long time has had a sleep timer. None of the 6 DVD players I've owned has had that feature. Apparantly people like to watch TV when they go to sleep. I like to watch DVDs when I go to sleep. Sometimes I fall asleep without turning the DVD player off. This probably has a negative effect on the lifespan of my DVD players (I've killed two of them already).

I would like a DVD player with a sleep timer. Does such a thing exist? I know I can use a universal remote with a built-in sleep timer to turn it off, but I'd prefer a DVD player that has the feature itself.

it doesn't matter, i never turn off dvd players

Do you leave discs in them?

sure
the kids don't take out the disc and put it away, that would be, well , they just don't

Well I'm glad your DVD player is still working fine, but I'd still like to have mine turn off when I go to sleep.

you could get a reciever with one on it, and it would shut off power to it after a period of time. Or get an outlet timer.
