Does Abit KT7 Support Duron 1000?

Seems like a simple enough question, but I can't get a straight answer.

So, far I've had a 'yes, maybe' and a no, maybe.'

Please set me straight.
 
there are different revisions of the kt7

you will probably need to check abits tech site to find out if your revision supports it... you will also probably need to update your bios



chances are it will support it though
 
The different revisions are critical to the KT7A, version 1.3 taking a bios that will support Athlon XP's -- and for sure the Morgan Durons. I need to know just about the KT.
 
Kt7 or kt7a? I have a kt7a, and it works well enough with a durhon 1000.

It doesn't get along with my other hardware though.

 
I searched, ended up on the Asus site, and saw that there are BIOS' out for KT133 chipset based mobos to support Morgan Durons. Looks like a good sign if you ask me.. I think your best bet would just be to either talk to someone at a computer store that knows his stuff, or call Abit if you can't find it online... the best thing to do is to talk to someone, that always makes me more comfortable...
 
Here is the response I received from tech support last week:

Dear Customer,

Sorry, KT7-RAID can only support Duron up to 950Mhz with the latest bios.
Morgan core Duron is not supported.
