Does Abit IT7 read PS/2 to USB converters?- **Installed Smooth**

Haven't tried yet, but I have everything but a usb keyboard here and I don't wanna boot the first time without a working keyboard.

I mean that I have a ps/2 keyboard, and I have a little adapter that turns it into a usb plug...but I've heard that the mobo doesn't like those adapters...any ideas?

I would give it a try! if it won't work then the worst case scenario is you may be forced to buy a USB KB so no big deal Please post back your results as I have considered that board for a couple of builds and the info would be very useful thanx

Wow! I'm on the new rig with the it7 right now, and I couldn't be happier with the way this install went. Everything fits in the case very well, although I did have to bend the case VERY slightly to get the agp card in (I've heard of this being common on the 845 boards, so no worries), but overall it was an easy install. After a quick edit to the bios and swapping of ide cables on my wd 1200jb and my seagate barracuda40, everything worked liked a charm. The system is VERY fast, and I have yet to oc (which I will most likely send up to about 2.0ghz in the days to come). I did oc the msi gf4 ti4200 slightly, and I'll be upping that for a few days as well, making it faster than a stock 4400. Anyway, I highly recommend this board. Specs below:

So do the converters work? My Logitech wireless keyboard mouse transcoder interface is USB AND PS2 for hte heyboard - bastards.

Any problems getting the PS2 keybard seen? Where can I get a converter?
