Only to those who want to believe.

Example: Politicians. Whatever Republican politicians repeat often enough the hardcore Republicans will believe after a while, and whatever the Democrat politicians repeat the Democrats will believe.

It's what politics are based on.

All the lies debunked on snopes.com have been accepted as truth by tens of thousands or even millions of people.

Just because it's accepted as truth does not make it truth.

but it becomes the truth by popular acceptance in the minds of millions of people.

I am extremely good at changing "the past" by telling myself different things. I can probably pass a lie detector test if they tested me on something that I have "changed". I think it is quite dangerous, but oh well..... that's just me.

Then your definition of truth is skewed. Just because it's of popular opinion, doesn't make it true.

When Columbus sailed across the ocean, the popular opinion was that the world was flat. No matter how many people believed this to be true, we now know that it wasn't.

Just remember, we have always been at war with evil. It has always been this way, and always will be. Don't question, just accept that fact.

War is peace.

According to Dr. Goebbels. if you make it big enough and tell it often enough, it will become the truth. Apparently it works.
