Does a Memory Stick reader read Memory Stick pro?

Hi. My friend has a HP 2210 all in one printer with built in Memory Stick reader. He just got a new digital camera with Memory Stick Pro support (but came with a 64mb Memory Stick). He's thinking of purchasing a 1GB Memory stick pro. Will his Memory Stick reader built in the printer read the Pro, or does he need to buy a new reader that specifically lists Memory Stick Pro? Thanks for any help.

I used a Memory Stick Pro in a different HP printer and it worked. I don't think the printer I used specifically said it "supported" memory stick pro.

I seem to recall that there's an adapter for the pro sticks so that they could to be read by a normal memory stick reader.
someone correct me if my memory is going! :Q
