they notice, I notice it too...which is sort of fun in a way...you are chatting with some chick, just harmless stuff and you get to the 'so?' stage and she catches the ring and does 'the pout' for lack of a better term, I think we all know that feeling....you get to excuse yourself to continue your evening and get a smile walking away.
When I was single and would notice a ring, it was obvious they realized that...however, the responses were sort of mixed bag 'well we are just flirting tonight', 'never mind that', 'oh, he is out of town', 'I wear this to stay unavailable (most of the times, if you end up in her house it's easily realized at least one guy lives there too)....guys are even worse in this regard as their are quite a few women out there that think of married guys as a 'safe and easy' thing....single guys wear bands out to help themselves to these women. Too many guys think of women as all this innocence and doe-like persona, but since the 70's, and basically breaking out of the shell in the 90's, the woman has a known sexual desire. Guys still like to think though that their 'woman' never ever ever thinks of that mailroom guy with 19" biceps because 'we have been married 5 years and have 2 kids, a dog and a beautiful home'.
Even a quick glance at their breasts *every* girl notices, I think they learn that maturing though....when us sexually maturing boys realize our tomboy friend Suzi is now getting the top half of our hidden playboys in the woods.
