Does a bluetooth mouse exist that isn't laggy?

I know wireless mice aren't the best (the MX Revolution is pretty good though!) in this department but I connected a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 to my notebook and the input lag and jumpy cursor are bad enough to make me want to toss the mouse into the ocean! It's the most annoying thing. I figured since I have BT on this small lappy I'd save a USB port. No way, I have a Anywhere MX mouse with the nano receiver and it's WAY better. (but I lose a USB port).

dunno, i doubt it.
my mx 1100 and revolution are not as good as my g9, they are good enough for desktop use, but i can still definitely tell they are not as responsive as the g9.
the g9 is set on a 1000hz polling rate:p
wireless just can't compete

Bluetooth mice (well at least this one) are far, far worse than any cordless mouse that uses a usb receiver. It's like watching an English translation of a Kung Fu movie!

I have that same mouse, and works really well with my Unibody Macbook. Also worked well when I used it on my desktop with a small BT USB adapter. Not sure what the problem is on your end.

I have zero lag with that mouse. (at least none that I notice)

oh, i just remember pairing devices was a chore, its easier to deal with the regular usb type now days. esp with nano transmitter. my v550 is ok for laptop use, but anything is, compared to a trackpad everything feels great heh

The Razer Orochi has 8ms response time in Bluetooth mode, 1ms in wired mode. I wonder how 8ms compares to typical wireless or BT mice.

As it stands, my Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse 5000 and MS Wireless Presenter Mouse 8000 are both decent for browsing and using Windows, but I haven't tried gaming with either, though your complaint doesn't specifically mention it either. Heck, I noticed a lot more latency with my first "performance" wireless mouse (MX700), where I would even lose in Minesweeper. The input latency would cause me to click the wrong block when I start moving too fast (click when cursor is over the correct box, cursor continues moving and the click registers after it is over the wrong block). Though it wasn't obvious to most "slow" people it was, like you said, like a dubbed Kung Fu movie. ;)

It just feels like the mouse is heavy - when you push it the cursor is slow like a fat stubborn cat that won't get out of your way! :D

Well, honestly, I don't want to use a bluetooth or cordless mouse. There are times that the mouse cursor doesn't respond as fast as a wired mouse. I prefer wired mouse since it lasts longer and I haven't experienced any bad thing about it?

You've never had a cord that was too short or caught on something? Never had one with a cord heavy enough to drag your mouse toward the back of your desk only to push your mouse forward as it springs back when you compensate by setting the stiff excess cord on the desk (doesn't want to stay coiled/wound or out of the way)? You haven't been using a corded mouse long enough. Due to all this I had to use a mouse bungee in the days before decent wireless mice and even with that, the cord had drawbacks (limited range).

just get a cheap binder clip, clamp to back of desk, thread mouse wire through the handles with some slack on the desk, and you are done with mouse drag:p
its not a big thing.
