title pretty much says it all. i am wondering if a blorb will fit on my pro2-a...i am going to put it on the northbridge inplace of the original orange heatsink. any suggestions?

Thanks

it fits fine between my HSF and my memory, i wouldn't worry about it fitting. although the screws don't exactly line up, so you're not going to be able to use the mounts, instead you'll need a thermal pad or epoxy solution to mount the HSF. i have the blue orb on there right now, and it works fine, although i didn't notice much change from the default, so i still have it on there but simply use the heatsink and unplugged the fan (the 26dBa rating effectively doubles the noise emissions from my system).

my concern wasnt with the mounts, although thank you for informing me of that...ill buy something to stick it on there. what would be the best kind of addhesive to use to stick the blorb onto the chipset?

i dont mind the noise, im going to leave it plugged in. will the blorb help more than the regular heatsink that comes with it if the fan is on instead of just the heatsink?

also, what i meant by "will it fit" is a concern with those big ass transistors all over the place. whats up with that? they really didnt design that too smooth. anyways, will the blorb be a hindrence to those? ive heard if you scratch 1 transistors it will fry the board, and i dont wanna do that!

Thanks

Both my Blorb's came with a peice of very good quality thermal tape? Also 3pin to 4pin molex, mounting pins and a blister pack of generic HS compound.

BTW: I should add the tape as good as it was didnt give me that warm fuzzy feeling so I got some Artic Adheasive. I did use the tape while I waited for the Epoxy to come.

my other question still stands though...i know ill be able to get it on the chipset using arctic silver, but will it fit between all the transistors???

it'll fit alrite, just make sure you get the artic silver epoxy and not just the thermal compound- that won't hold.
