Does 845E work with DDR PC2700 RAM?

Help.. me 🙂

I want to use PC2700 (or better, if overclocking) DDR RAM. Do I need the 845G chipset for this, or will 845E work fine? Assuming, of course, that specific motherboard allows for the appropriate configuration.

Or, if you know where to buy P4X333, let me know. Thanks!

YES!
PC2700 (and PC3000 and PC3300) will work on an i845E board. The board will run them all at
DDR266 however, unless you overclock. An i845G board will also only run at DDR266. PC2700 will
increase your chance of hitting higher memory speeds than PC2100. Theoretically, an i845G board will
also increase your chances since it is equipped to handle the higher throughput.

i have an i845G board with PC2700 (DDR333) overclocked to a memory frequency of 365 MHz.
Others have been able to attain similar or higher speeds with i845E boards and better brand of memory.
