Does 32bit Linux not work on A64s?

No it should work. 32bit items work find with the AMD64 proccessor.

I think in this cause it's much more likely to be your motherboard then your cpu, but that's just a guess. I have no information to go off of other then that.

None of them worked. I'm pretty sure its my Motherboard. at this point because there has always been problems with it. first it was never able to load XP with SP1 on it and it cannot overclock at all. Sometimes after I try overclocking and a bring it back to stock speeds it wont boot up.
 
I just wanted to point out that ended up with gentoo 64bit, I've only got 1 32bit app that I can think of, mplayer. Other then that I'm running all 64bit.
 
Does it install if you downclock your system back to stock speeds? My first guess is that your overclock may be causing some errors.
