Does µTorrent have a problem with FiOS?

I've been using Verizon DSL up until this morning.
Now have FiOS!!! Yeah.

Anyway, I wanted to reformat my comp so I'm re-downloading XP(can't find the CD that my school gave us, but I already know the key code).
I opened µTorrent to DL and to my surprise, it was very slow. (Never passes 7KB/s download)

So I decided to try the bloatware called Azureus(didn't even know they changed their name) for the first time in over 3 years and it works perfectly fine.

Same site, same file, same tracker, same everything.
So is wrong with µTorrent and why does it say "download limited"? 😕

Download limited in uTorrent, I believe, is when you set it at too low of an upload cap.

You must have, intentionally or not, capped the upload at less than 5kB or so and uTorrent doesn't like it

/edit - yup, this is confirmed on uTorrent's FAQ. This is a setting they built in to try to discourage leechers.

Lame...Upload increased to 6KB/s.

EDIT: Thanks.
Now to uninstall that bloatware from my system.
Wow, Azureus new GUI looks like complete shit(took me forever to figure out how do anything on there, including change to classic.).

Funny you call utorrent bloatware while it uses the least amount of memory out of pretty much all the torrent programs and you switch to azureus which IS the most bloated of them all.

It was from a "public" tracker 😉

Driving 1hr all the way to school to get the physical MSDN CD will take too long. I don't want to wait till Monday or waste gas.
I should be formating within the next few hrs or so now.

hex on lothar...what a lamer.

I don't care about uploading on "public" trackers. If that makes me a lamer, then tough luck.

I just got FiOS yesterday...Wireless is acting kinda kinky, so I'm doing a format because of it.

As you noticed from this topic, I've never been aware of this 1-5KB/s limit until now, because it was only now that I decided to step foot in the wilderness.
I've always been a private man.

Using standard cable I had to cap utorrent uploads to 100Kbs, or else my download rates were slower. I'm guessing that's due to cable being asynchronous?
