2009, eh? Give Ford another 3 models years' worth of Mustang sales...good idea, Daimler-Chrysler! The Mustang will be halfway through its product cycle.

The Daytona was far sweeter, and the original big wing. The Roadrunner was simply the Plymoth version.

That IS a good idea. Let people get sick of the Mustang and then introduce something different but in the same car category.

Well, every pony car has taken this approach when attacking the Mustang's market position....how many of them are still available for sale? The Mustang has been in production for 41 straight years....no other pony car can say the same even if you factor in the 2 year lag it took the market to offer competition.

putting it on the 300C and charger chassis is a mistake. Every review I've read has blasted the handling and feel of those two cars.

The cuda and challenger are just different versions of the same car. Challenger = dodge cuda = plymouth.

I haven't seen any reviews blasting the 300c or srt8's handling other then top gear and they hate everything american. If the mustang can handle well with a lincoln/jag platform and a solid rearend I am sure dodge can to with the 300 platform.

read that if you think the 300c srt8 handles like crap and remeber it weighs around 4200lbs!!!!!

maybe i'm young (but i'm the customer base who would buy this vehicle) but when I think of challenger, i think of a 1986 national disaster.

If the slice off a few inches from the wheelbase, and reinforce the chassis, it should handle extremely good. It should have an edge in handling over the Mustang since it still uses a live axle.

Not bad, Chevy was out of the gate 1st with the GTO. Then Frod with the Rustang and Chrysler thought they could compete with the tradgedy they call the Charger. I'm glad I didn't wait...

People will be driving their Chargers past chained up GM buildings. ;)
