Dodge Razor - 250HP, 0-60 in under 6sec, REAR Wheel Drive, under $16000!!!!!

they shouldn't be making cars this fast for this cheap - its probably a pos and ppl would rather buy a $5k used car and put $10k in mods to make it ridiculously fast (seeing as this dodge is probably not gonna be a good daily driver anyways).

the neon srt-4 is as low as they should go in terms of price/performance and daily drivability

Audi TT, Nissan Z, and other friends.

It wont be faster than 6.0 seconds. Somebody find another car with 250HP and 2500Lbs that is even under 6.5, Im not sure that exists.

If I remember correctly, there was a similar idea behind the VW Roadster concept. People wanted a stripped down, no frills coupe with RWD that was light enough that it didn't need alot of engine to go fast. What VW ended up unveiling at Frankfurt was the Boxsterish Concept R. Personally, for the amount I drive, I could get on board with a car with these kind of ideals, but I would need a radio and AC. As you can see by most of the responses here though, I doubt they would sell and knowing that, I doubt they would be made.

The Nissan makes barely more power(287) and weighs a lot more(3200). It makes the run in significantly under 6 seconds (5.4).

I know of cars that have 250HP+ and weight 2,800+ and score mid 5 second 0-60 times.

Boxster S
S2000
Z4 (actually 225HP)

I believe NFS4 was saying the Opel Speedster is just an Elise chassis with different interior/exterior. I imagine they handle similar - if not identical - to each other.

i dont understand how people can buy these new cars and actually like the looks of them... i admit their fast, but they look like sh1t. take a look at the 350z.... that thing is ugly as hell man....this dodge razor looks way worse.

Dodge Razor is nice. It just needs better headlights and taillights, and AC. No frills my ass. I live in Texas. Even if I was AutoXing I would leave the AC on because I don't want to bake.

ok yea, 2500lbs is less than I thaught. Those times are fine.

With the 2.4l turbo it would be easy to get 250hp out of it. They already push nearly that much in the neon and the 230ft-lbs of torque estimate in the article is way low. I'd buy it and the only options I would want is a/c and a radio.

None of this really matters cause Mercedes killed it a long time ago.

hey 16 grand ain't bad though
you gotta understand dodge's standpoint on this move... so fast for so cheap... shyt i'd buy one!

Nah Chrysler still has it; they more than doubled the price, cut the horsepower, and badged it the crossfire. BOOYAH!

Thought so...

too bad really. That motor is underrated by about 60HP in the Neon as it is, would've been an absolute blast to drive.

EDIT - *shakes head at Skoorb*

😛😉

That's unique, you don't see too many RWD 4 cylinder cars in this day and age. I would never buy it but more power to them if somebody else will.
