US auto makers need to give up

Yeah, I'm sure your opinion of the car isn't influenced by your bias against American car companies.

DaimlerChrysler is a German automaker.

I like it. Not too bad even though I'm not a fan of the newer Chrysler styling. The real issue is how it handles though. These MX-5 challengers sell from the autoX track.

You seriously need to give up on life.

Sorry, guys. US automobiles haven't stirred my driving spirit in years. They have lost their soul. Build quality and fit and finish have diminished over the last few decades.

Got a link?

I'd say their fit and finish have gotten better in the last few decades

Well that's a matter of personal opinion, which of course you're entitled too.
I can totally say the same for the Asian automakers and be right: bland, boring, quality going to the sh!tter, grandparentmobiles.

Didn't you get the memo? AT'ers base cars on what they read, driving one would be absurd.

A link? Are you kidding? Go to a dealership, sit in a vehicle and look around.

Just because I didn't speak highly of US vehicles doesn't mean that I like Asian vehicles. Most of the low- and mid-priced Asian vehicles have no soul either. They also have cold, sterile, boring interiors.

It's all ice cream, anyway! 😉

Ah, yes. Pick out the one vehicle holding the Chevrolet name up.

They're okay. Good interior layout. Exterior has improved. Great power to money ratio.

i'm calling shens on 15K. either that, or for 15K you gets the 1.8, a grey plastic interior, no power steering, windows, locks, a/c, steel 14s, single exhaust with the other one not cut out (think accord, where the scoring to cut the second exhaust hole into the bumper was visible), and seats out of some old neon they found out back.

edit: and for biggesttroll, US automakers have increased fit and finish by leaps and bounds over the last several decades. ex: the ~1978 pontiac trans am t-tops leaked from the factory.
