Got a new pen drive at work and will have to hand mine down to another worker at this location. Is there an application to do a DOD wipe on a pen drive?

There is NO residual magnetism or charge in a pen drive - once you erase (reformat) it (by the normal method) IT'S REALLY ERASED! No spedial method needed.

Because of the 'wear levelling' system used on many pen drives (which automatically redirects writes to different areas of the card) it is very difficult to ensure that if you 'wipe' a file by overwriting it, that it really is overwritten.

For all practical purposes, however, a single pass of a whole-disk wipe using something like Eraser will be more than adequate.
