Somehow I deleted C:/Documents and Settings....

When I try to recreate the file, it says it already exist but it is not showing up, even tries using SHOW HIDDEN FOLDERS...

How can I get this back?

Thanks!

What do you mean somehow? Accidentally? I wouldn't think Windows would even allow you to delete it. What happens when you log out and back in? I'd think it would be automatically re-created.

Screen shot might help. And yes in Win 7 there is a c:\Users folder, not documents and settings. Did you by chance upgrade from XP to Vista to 7?

No, clean install of W7...

C:users is still there so I guess I am good...

There is no Documents and Settings folder in Win7.

In Vista/Win7, the Documents and Settings folder is not actually a folder but rather a NTFS junction point. It connects back to C: /Users for reasons of backward compatibility with software that was hard-coded to install to the Documents and Settings folder on prior versions of Windows.
