Key among them is Ted Sampley, who once had a restraining order against him following a complaint by Sen. McCain.

So? It's a pretty lame attempt to discredit him. Do you know why he was mad at McCain?

Of course, it's easy to come up with more persuasive evidence that discredits Ted Sampley, who even by the most generous standards is a lying, self-serving whacko.

See here, for example:

In 1986, for example, when Sampley was in Washington, D.C., attending one of his many POW functions, he set up a publicity stunt that could have killed or seriously injured someone. Shortly before 2 A.M., bar closing time, Sampley and a few confederates erected a barrier at the top of a freeway on-ramp that handles traffic coming from Capitol Hill. They coated the ramp with oil, so that unsuspecting motorists would slither wildly before crashing into the barrier. The cars' headlights would illuminate a sign on the barrier that read "Free the POWs."

The next day I learned about the on-ramp trap from Sampley, who called to announce what he had done. He was proud of his effort but disappointed that the trick had not come off. While Sampley and friends had watched from a nearby hiding place, police officers had found and dismantled the arrangement before any cars ran into it.

When I told Sampley he had risked people's lives with the stunt, he accused me of being a spoilsport. He also said he was dismayed at missing the chance for newspaper coverage. It was a rare lost opportunity. Over the next couple of years, Sampley would succeed in attracting considerable press coverage of antics designed for that specific purpose. His favorite trick was to chain himself and others ? preferably attractive MIA daughters ? to the gates of the White House and throw fake blood at police, onto the White House lawn, or at Secret Service agents.

On one occasion 1, Sampley placed bamboo cages containing live protestors on the front lawn of the house owned by Ronald Reagan's chief of staff Don Regan. The protestors were arrested. Another time, Sampley led a group to the home of former National Security Council head Frank Carlucci. In the midst of a major snowstorm, Sampley and his followers blocked Carlucci's driveway with 1,800 "care" packages addressed to POWs in Laos. On yet another occasion, Sampley orchestrated a "bounty hunt" for Ann Mills Griffiths and other leaders of the National League of Families. Hunters were challenged to hit their prey with cream pies, water balloons, and rotten tomatoes.

So? SO??

Does your ignorance know no bounds?

Why don't you go do some real research for once instead of posting op/ed pieces from right-wing rags and tabloids?

What about moveon.org and Farenheit 9-11 (to name only 2 of many)

Are you saying these are 100% independent of the Kerry Campaign and therefore are not considered political adverts that bash the President?

If that is the case, then why not allow Haliburton to do the very same thing?

And please tell me why ALL of your replies seem do damned arrogant and condecending.

They are 100% independent of the Kerry Campaign. They are not linked. Michael Moore has always been the way he is and he even bashed Democrats in his film, have you not seen, then?

Moveon.org is also not a part of the Kerry campaign. To be a part would be illegal.

They are free to do whatever they wish. Sounds to me like sour grapes from you.

No, I haven't seen it. I refuse to pay to see a political advertisement. But I have seen reviews from both the left and the right. And lest you misunderstand me, I fully agree with Moore's right to produce any film he wants to.

However,
I'm surprised that you do not see anything wrong with moveon, Soros, and F9-11 and the way they are attempting to manipulate the US election. If the tables were reversed, I think you'd be mad as hell.

Perhaps some sour grapes from me, but more concern for our republic than sour grapes.

Bush was a drunk-driving coke-head.

More dredging up 30 year-old crap?
It seems as though 30 year old crap is fine as long as it bashes Bush...
There is no time limit when it comes to bashing Bush.

Which is why Kerry's anti-American / pro-Communist activities in the 70's is completely fair game.
Who's bashing Bush for his actions of 30 years ago?

Not me.

To be honest, I don't care if he was AWOL or not from the National Guard. The fact is, he hid from service using his father's connections. He used his father's connections to get into Harvard Business School. He used his father's connections to get into business (even when he repeatedly failed.) He used his father's connections to get into the White House.

It's par for the course for this Bush. His character or, rather, the lack thereof, has been exposed.

Kerry has been exposed alot more....LMAO!

I'm not thrilled that groups like moveon.org are able to skirt campaign finance laws but the media is certainly not doing the job it needs to be doing to be critical of this administration.

Anyone that truly thinks the mainstream media is liberal and anti-Bush has more than a few screws loose. If that was the case, we'd be hearing day-in and day-out as to the many scandals and coverups of this administration (which claimed it would restore honor and integrity to the White House.)

Politics in this country are a joke. The two major parties are mere vehicles for people with big egos or big connections (or both) to wield power they love so much. I think the American peoples' interests were long ago left on the side of the road.
