Stumbled upon this today. Maybe a repost, but it is definately worth watching. Some interesting discoveries about Bush connections to Enron, Saudis, and the bin Laden family. Also has information about Bush being AWOL during his time with the national guard, and shows veterans' outrage at his landing on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln.

Don't write it off as another Bush-hating piece.. this is a documentary comprised of more facts than rhetoric. Watch here

This site has a lot of interesting stuff.. look around it. This, for instance, claims that a building was intentionally destroyed on September 11 for insurance purposes. More conspiracy-driven than the one mentioned above, but interesting nonetheless.

I think you're refering to this book: American Dynasty: Aristocracy, Fortune, and the Politics of Deceit in the House of Bush by former Republicana strategist Kevin Phillips.

That's next on my list. I've already finished Clarke's book and about 1/4 the way through Suskind's book about Paul O'Neill.

Great reads, both.

Shame this is not played on all PBS stations around the country 3 times a day. Though most of us with a shred of common sense already know *most* of the video is true ... the ones who don't believe it will never even if Dubya came on at the end and said 'I'm Geore W. Bush, and I endorse this video".

There are some half-truths in the video and some stretches but the first 10 minutes or so is dead on 100% accurate and should be seen by every would be voter. Once the video gets to the Florida/election stuff, it gets a little tired as who really cares anymore about that. It is old news and I would not expect Floridians to make the same, cough, cough, mistake again this year. But his apptitude scores and his vaulting past 1000's of more qualified "draft dogers" into the Texas National Guard is dead on. His pretending to be this great fighter pilot and the disgusting photo opp on the aircraft carrier should sicken any soldier who has ever strapped on a dog tag and laid their life on the line for our great country.

Leeboy, which branch of the service were you in?

BTW, I wore dogtags for four years in the Navy, and I would have been honored to have the President of the US visit our ship.

Army. You obviously did not watch the first 3 minutes of the video if you can say that about THAT visit. I would not have been honored if Johnson had done the same thing back in veitnam and the same holds true today. The context of the landing, photo-op, roger stroking is what I am talking about.
As a vetran, that kind of grandstanding disgusts me, especially after loosing a child in THIS war.

I agree. It will never play over here. They should have tried to contain their hate for the man because even if you are presenting the truth (and I am certain not all of it is the truth), it is lost on the majority of sheeple in this country when it is presented so biasdly (<word?) However, anyone who ever bashes Kerry for being a rich boy and thinks that Bush is some common man's man is just dilusional. Just watch the first couple of minutes to figure that out. They are both very privliged white guys who really don't have much in common with any of us. :)

Maybe the navy is more patriotic than the army.
