Document Management

I have been Goolging for awhile, with no luck. I'm looking for a freeware program that works something like a program that I once used called Page Master. I simply want to be able to scan personal documents, like sales receipts, and be able to store them within the programs database. Where would I find such a critter?

That looks like exactly the same Google results that I got before posting this. I'm sure that what I want is there somewhere, but finding it is not all that easy. I suppose that if I dedicate days to this, I would find what I want, but like most people, I would prefer to ask someone else, and save some time.

Well, you said "I simply want to be able to scan personal documents, like sales receipts, and be able to store them within the programs database. Where would I find such a critter?" Given that minimal set of specifications, the first couple of pages of that search result seem to apply. If you have something more specific in mind you'll need to say what it is that you're not finding there.

Somehow, I really don't think that it is all that difficult to understand what I want. But there is a multitude of document management programs available...evidenced by the fact that Google tallyed 77200000 returns on the link that you gave. I have already gone through a number of these without finding anything like what I asked for. If you don't understand what I'm asking about, then you shouldn't bother yourself with posting with such an obvious link. Thank you for "trying" anyway.

The problem is that the first three pages are full of programs that do what you asked for. Given that your requirements were enumerated in a single, not very descriptive, sentence that isn't surprising. But I'm sure a nice guy like you will get plenty of additional help here.

Most all in one printers that have scanner / copy features built in
will also allow you to scan to a File or an Application such as
MSWORD ... you just need to decide Where you want to keep
your Files. Now if you want to scan them into .PDF Format
then you need another type of program such as Acrobat 7 Professional

I do have an AIO printer, but since I'm using x64, the x64 driver doesn't provide most of the software options. It did have Image Zone, but for some reason, that failed to install the last couple of times that I installed the driver. Therefore, I don't even have FAX or scanner, except via third party programs. However, what I want is not a method to scan, but a program that functions as a database with easy cataloging and access.
