Yes, I know how "bad" second hand smoke is...

But, it seems to me that the statistics of the number of people who actually get cancer from second hand smoke was incredibly low by comparison to other problems related to life-style choices by the parents.

And, for what it's worth, I believe there was a link made between asthma and excessively clean houses... let's make it child endangerment to live in a house that's too clean while we're at it.
I hate smoking as much as anyone else, but such a law is going a bit overboard.

More lives are ruined from poverty than smoking.

no let's just ban anyone that has the chance of getting in an automobile accident at ALL from having children.

there is a big difference between a set of circumstances outside of our control and delibrately smoking with a child indoors or while pregnant. to drink or smoke will pregnant is just as repugnant as a person that sexually abuses children. to get a chemically induced pleasure at the cost of your unborn childs health is just soo sick.

that's probably due to all the amonia and other chemicals from cleaning products.

So, what's next? Feeding the kids McDonalds? Being drunk in front of the kids? fighting in front of them? Not having a clean enough house?

i think smoking around kids is bad. i did my best to not do it close enough to VeggieFrog to harm her.

but how are they gonna enforce this? Go into ppls houses and arrest them if they smoke in their own home? I don't think that will ever fly.

This is great! Always looking for new ways to abuse my child.

Doesn't qualify as abuse though.

As long as they start arresting parents of fat or lazy kids along with the smokers, I'm fine with it.
