Didn't see this posted so hope it's new:

Mobility Universal Dock free after rebates starting Sunday, Dec 30.

edit: model number UN070310 not UN074310

$99.99 less $75 Mfr. MIR less $25 CC MIR.

See ad here:page 20

edit: sorry about the model number. The scan was a little blurry and I guessed and that was what came up. I didn't realize there were two models. I thought that was a really big price drop from $199 to free! Thanks ktg for getting the correct one.

I was thinking that too, but I read the ad and it doesn't mention anything about needing to purchase the laptop in order to get the dock.

Page 20 right-hand side, middle-of the-page where it says FREE. That's what shows for me.

How does CC do the price match if I buy it today?? What are the specs onm this thing? I don't think that this is the review of the same docking station.

I was going to go get it today and then pricematch it tomorrow, but do they just give the cash difference if I buy it today and go back tomorrow?? Or do they just change the date on the reciept so I can get the rebates?

Edit-- What about monitor?? That is what I am really interested in. I looked at the specs on the CC webiste and it says nothing about it.

The scan is blurry for me, but I think you're mistaken about the model number. This is probably the cheaper $99.00 model which has no Ethernet (model #UN070310). The Ethernet version (model UN074310) sells for $100 more. Still a very good deal!

Agreed, ktg. This is model number UN070310 (the more-expensive UN074310 includes 10mb ethernet). Still a good deal for free, though.

Yeah, I beleve the docking station in question is This one.

Looks to be a realy sweet deal for free! My only beef with it is that it doesn't have VGA. My laptop has that onboard so it looks like I'm going to circuit city! :)

They need to make one of these with firewire so there are no limitations.
AnthraX101 posted the correct description. Click under limitations and make sure this will work for you.

Only downside I see is that you cannot connect a monitor - so strictly speaking it's not really a full blown docking station, more a port replicator. Still free is a good deal :)

there is a $50 rebate on it now that is good from 10/01/01 to3/31/02 .

it does require the original upc. maybe you can make money on this deal.

The $50 rebate that is right now is a Mobility Electronics and the $75 tomorrow is also from them. I doubt that you can use both from the same company.

Actually, I think that CC is pretty decent on rebates lately. But my concern is that the $75 piece is likely going to be from TCA in New Rochelle (the $50 rebate out there today is), and *they* are terrible with rebates.

Interestingly the $50 rebate allows a max of 3. I wonder what the $75 and $25 CC rebates will allow. I don't think I'd get more than one, anyway.

<< How come none of the docking stations has game port? >>

Because most laptops don't have one?

Does anyone know whether this deal is available online?

If so, will both the CC and manufacturer's rebates be available for download online, or must one turn elsewhere?

I ask because it's now Sunday, 4:40am East Coast time, and their web site doesn't yet reflect what's advertised in the circular: No mention of free after rebate, no mention of $75 or $25 rebates.

Probably I'm just too early . . . guess I'll hit the sack and see what's up there tomorrow morning.

I see three rebates online...$25, $25, and $50. A total of $75 from Mobility. I ordered it for pick-up. It did not show up in my local paper ad.

I see three rebates also. However, two of them require the original UPC barcode. :(
