When Doctors make a diagnosis, they really don't know what you have. What they do is try you on a few drugs, and when one works, they say "oh, so that's what you had."

Try to find a cousellor. It can be just as effective as drugs, it can even change your brain chemistry. It also increases the effectiveness of drugs you are already on.

Lifestyle changes, like exercise, changing stress levels and changing sexual patterns can do the same thing.

Use a buckshot approach, and try all three angles.

Good luck, man. Bi-polar runs throughout my family, it's fvcking nasty.

Yeah, I'd defintaly go for a second opinion. As to the meds after an hour's visit, I notice that all docs are ready to prescribe meds. I could go into a doctor's office perfectly healthy and I'd be willing to bet by the time I come out, I'll have a scrip in my hand. I never take doctor recommended prescriptions unless it is for something specific like a bacterial infection that requires antibiotics.

they say that people are what they eat, i also like to believe people are what they watch and what they listen to.

so if you enjoy garbage television, unplug it. if you enjoy music that talks about useless things like money, sex, power, depression, sadness, murder etc...turn it off.

samething goes with friends...

you know that saying, a sour apple ruins a bunch.
