Okay so everyone has always told me how comfortable doc marten's are. I"ve been thinking about getting a pair of boots lately and am curious, are they really that comfortable or just better than your average boot? Worth the price? They seem a little on the expensive side of things..... What do you think? Favorite style?

i had a job that involved me to wear boots and they had to be black, so through a work discount, got some doc's. i could stand on those things all day my feet wouldnt hurt a bit. i like my docs and they are sturdy and durable as hell. as long as you polish them regularly theyll look nice and last awhile. these doc's will prolly last me my whole life and when i die, i could be buried in them and theyd still be fine. (i wont be buried in them though, i dont love them that much) anyways, if your looking for a good boot and your shoe size wont be changing anytime in the near future, then doc's are a good investment. IMO at least.

They are comfortable and seem durable, but I can get Sketchers for less than half the price, so I have never bothered to actually buy a pair of Docs.

I have a pair and I like them but they are very warm. I only wear them in the winter. But I am hot-blooded and prefer to wear thong sandals when ever possible.

i cannot say enough good things about docs. i have 4 pairs, two of which i have had for years. they are like iron. sturdy and will last. plus, they only get better as you wear them! and Wholesaledocs.com is great if they have your size!

I had Sketchers and my roomate had Docs - both of us had problems with our shoes. They gave us horrible blisters for the first few weeks until they were broken in. A lot of socks were ruined with the blood. Suffice to say, when I bought new shoes, I bought Rockports, and have been happy ever since. Very comfy shoes, and no break-in problems.

Each to his own I guess, but as for me, I'm never buying Sketchers or Docs again.

i said waste of money because they're expensive...and they're shoes. just shoes. personally, shoes aren't that big of a deal for me so i tend to buy cheap ones, which usually last quite a while. to each his own. :)

Bought one pair of the boots. The boot have outlasted 2 pairs of laces. I've had them for about 4 years now, and wear them on a daily bases. Great boots, well worth the dough.

I had one pair that I sold cars in for 2 years, then bartended in for another 3. Still going.

I bought a hundred dollar pair of sketchers to work in and the sole is wearing through after just 4 months. Docs are much better quality.

i bought a pair when i was in London. They don't fit my feet right so they are unbelievable uncomfortable.

Still look brand new, only been worn a couple times.
