lexapro has the least side affects of the ssri's, its decent and a whole lot better than paxil(paxhell).

Generalized anxiety disorder: initial, 10 mg/day ORALLY as a single dose in the morning or evening
Generalized anxiety disorder: maintenance, 10-20 mg/day ORALLY

im at 10 right now, maybe i should up it. no complaints from me ... not even sexual.

I started taking lexapro about 2 weeks ago for anxiety attacks that decided to pop up again after a year. And it made me very tired....I fealt like a zombie. So I went back to the doctor, and he told me that they should of made me a little hyper. So he took me off that, and put me on Wellbutrin....total opposite effect. And I feel so much better.

I had a friend on Lexapro, she was *super* energetic and like barely felt pain for a few months, then her body kinda adjusted and it didn't do much anymore.

Good luck with it though!

has it cured your SAD? (seasonal affective disorder)

I fail to see any noticeable differences.

If it were me, I'd look at my diet and sleeping routine first. I'm not saying you havn't, I'm not exactly sure from your posts, all I read is that you said you excercise, but that is only a small part of it. Do you sleep a consistant schedule (go to bed and wake up same time throughout weeks)? Do you eat right? Is there anything you eat that makes you feel more lethargic?

Shrug, maybe you've done all this already and that is why you are at the point you are at. But I used to be very tired and had a terrible sleeping schedule and I fixed it all with diet, exercise and a strict work schedule that kept me going to sleep and waking up at the same time each day. Back when I had problems, I used to wake up, take a shower and fall back asleep, thats how bad I was. Never taken any anti-depressants.

GET OFF THAT SH!T NOW!

(If you know what's good for you)

People talk about how much drugs screw you up, and unless you one of the few with a real brain chemical imbalance, anti-depressants screw you up the most.

Change your diet, get some exercise and start sleeping. If you really want a pill go to a psychologist and get a stimulant(adderall has really worked miracles for me)

There are good drugs and there are bad drugs. You have to do your own research, don't take something because the doctor said so.
