I finally found a kiosk with the game going. First game on X-Box to make me say "wow!". Good graphics, good interface, and of course its got the DOA3 girls... ;)

The only thing I didn't like was the X-Box controller. It worked ok for other games, but it seemed to inhibit massive combos...

Otherwise, a big thumbs up. Finally a game that lives up to its hype.

Did you play in the forest level perhaps? I heard great things about it. I guess you can knock your opponent into a tree and cause some leaves to fall. Then, if you sweep through the leaves with an attack, the fall path of the leaves is affected accordingly. That seems like it'd be cool as hell to see...

Here's hoping BestBuy has some xbox's tomorrow when I get out there. Damn my 4 hour lab at 8am!

Any level with trees does that. I played this temple level where you could actually throw them outside onto the roof of another building. It was awesome to watch! :D

I played it for a while at an Xbox demo event..

To me it just seems like DOA2: Pretty Edition.

Same gameplay as the last, just shinier graphics. It didn't add anything new to the genre.

I'd give it an 8/10 (good but not groundbreaking)

I hadn't spend much time with DOA on any console until I was able to play it tonight. I was rather pleased :)

Wow, i thought you were the one who called Halo a "good, but not exceptional" game. I do want to get a hold of that DOA3 footage, actually, screw the footage, i wanna see gameplay.

I am the person that says that. Halo doesn't live up to the ungodly amount of hype it was put up to. Halo is an ok game, but not what they're hyping it to be.

For a fighting game, I really liked DOA3. I'm still not picking up an X-Box for it, but DOA3 gets the big thumbs up :)

And you own the full version of Halo so you would know :) But I agree it has been hyped a little too much. Xbox definatly put a nice bunch of games out for launch as with gamecube.

that would be about my personal rating, just flash, nothing new. average score for DOA3 is 88%. halo is 95.2%

tony hawk 2x (xbox) is only an 80%, im real suprised at that
while tony hawk 3 (ps2 and gc, eventually on xbox) is a whopping 98%, as is mgs2

I personally wouldn't own Halo. Rental at best :)
