Do Zombies have civil rights?

Inspired by the 200th anniversary of President Lincoln I checked the Constitution. I noticed it does not specifically say that Zombies are excluded from the rights granted to all American citizens.
Do Zombies have civil rights? Should Zombies have civil rights?

No, they've been alienated from the inalienable right to Life (Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness) ergo they're not endowed by their creator with any rights.
 
As long as you were turned into a zombie on american soil. If you were an illegal alien and turned into a zombie on American soil you would be considered an anchor zombie and be accorded the same civil rights as everyone.
 
I believe the constitution is the wrong place to look. I perfer the Declaration of Independence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Clearly, zombies were NOT created the same as regular men. Thus, zombies do not have unalienable rights such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

As far as the constitution and laws go, if it isn't specifically a listed right, you don't have that right. You can fire someone for sexual preference for example, and it is perfectly legal last I heard. Same goes with zombies - with no specific mention, zombies have no civil rights.

I don't think we are in a situation where we need civil rights for zombies. I mean, Al Gore nearly won the presidency! As a country, we are far more accepting of zombies and races and regligions than we once were. Now is not the time for reverse pro-zombie discrimination.

Assuming the zombies were born in the US, I'd say yes. (Foreign zombies would have to look to their own laws.) The amendment does not say that citizenship rights end upon death and reanimation as undead.

Sure zombies eat your brain, but you need to understand they have a hunger that cannot be filled, they can't help themselves.
If you see a zombie, don't think of it as a mindless killing machine, but instead try to understand how it feels inside. Then if you have to kill it, do so humanely. Don't cut off the arms and legs, but instead go immediately for the head.

Well, at first i wanted to say that it depends on the TYPE of zombie.

The living dead type (clinically deceased, but animated) obviously have no civil rights.

The other, virus related zombification is much more difficult. These are still living people. Of course, they are all mass murderers and have no voice in congress, so me thinks their civil liberties are worth a bullet to the brain.
