do your parents love each other? and do they show it?

They split up after my brother and I moved out. They still talk and are friendly though, even buy xmas gifts for each other.

My mother told me she was getting a legal separation from my father the day after my birthday this year. I guess I should be thankful that she didn't do it on my birthday.

They love each other and want to stay together but for financial and legal reasons, they are better off that way. Still a bitch of a belated birthday present.

My parents got married, mom got preggers, she found out a whole shitload of stuff about my father, separated, I was born, they divorced shortly after. Never met him. My mom still cries sometimes about raising me in a broken home. I didn't grow up under the umbrella of a healthy marriage (does ianyone anymore?).

Nik: definitely although I didn't either.

parents were married until i was 13 or so, separated, got back together for a bit, then got divorced.

both remarried, my Mom's husband is dead (RIP), my Dad and his wife are happily married.

My parents are cordial if they have to be at the same function together, but ALWAYS manage to get their digs in.

my parents split when i was about 1.5 yrs old. i still manage to get them in the same room for family functions tho, they are friendly and can chat when at functions.

Both my parents love each other. But they don't really act affectionate towards one another (hugs, kisses, loving words). They show it in different ways.

Such as: They sleep in separate rooms (mother sleeps in the living room while my dad sleeps in the bedroom). However, it is because she loves him that she does that since he has insomnia and is a light sleeper, so she sleeps in the living room to prevent any noises (rolling around, breathing, getting up at night etc) so that he can hopefully get a good night's rest.

Strange how things work though, they used to hate each other since it was an arranged marriage. And at one point, were close to divorcing each other, but decided to stay around for me & my brother's sake.

My parents don't even sleep in the same room.

I resent my mom for what she puts my dad through, but whatever.

They diverced in 1990. Over the last 18 years, they have grown to tolerate one another. They can be in the same building without getting into a fight or argument. They pretty much are indifferent towards each other.

My mom tirelessly doted on my father, to which he responded with years of indifference up to and including the events surrounding her death.

My parents absolutely love each other and are always hugging and kiss often. Not too much in public but yes they still love each other very much, they have been married for 21 years. I'm 20 years old going on 21 next yr in May.

I have no memories of them ever arguing loudly or saying any curse words at each other, they just have the normal lilttle arguments over insignificant stuff every once in a while but there's no aggression or any sign of madness.

Yes they do, although they're not mushy in their affection. They've been married for 30 years, raised 5 of us (I'm the oldest at 27 yo), and seem to enjoy each others' company.

My parents are divorced when I was 9 years old so no, they do not love each other. They don't even live in the same state. My Dad lives in upstate NY and my Mom is in Florida. I live about as far away from both of them as is geographically possible within the continental United States.

No idea. Never show affection to each other and argue quite often, but they are still together and my brother and I left the nest early this decade. So I guess they at least tolerate each other.

When I was a kid they really used to scream and yell at each other, my mother would throw shit at my dad. And by shit, I mean chairs and shoes etc. But in the last decade they have mellowed and just seem to argue about insignificant stuff these days.

they're not overtly affectionate all the time, and they do have their arguments, but i often see them being all cutesy or something. they've been married 31 years
