Do you write in cursive or print?

On the other hand, I can barely print these days either - I never had awesome printing skills, but now since I only use it to scrawl a phone number or write one check a month, my printing has gotten pretty bad. Typing rules.

i mainly use cursive but if im in a hurry i use print. im kind of compulsive with my handwiritng in that every word has to be perfectly legible for whoever reads it so if something doesnt look quite right ill scratch it out and re-write it again. even for notes/reminders to myself.

Me too, plus after 22 years of being left handed you'd think I'd figure out how to write along and not smear ink all over the side of my hand, but no.

Print. I spent 2nd-5th grade learning/practicing cursive, our teachers claimed it would be a vital life skill if we ever wanted to get a job. Once I entered middle school we learned this was a bunch of BS and I never used cursive again except to sign my name. It would have been a much better use of their time to teach us how to type correctly.

Print since 5th grade, and my handwriting is quite clear. Well, it varies, but at worst it's legible, and at best it looks quite nice. Definitely not "chicken scratch."

Also, I have trouble reading cursive even if it's very "well written" (a relative term, since it's cursive after all).

yea i loved that, all the BS about useing cursive in HS and College

after abouth 8/9th grade i never hand wrote anything longer then a page or so
everything was typed

Generally cursive. I print if I have to take down fast notes or write something for someone else, like directions.

Print for everything and cursive for signature and no one can read it. I never could write cursive very quickly and still read it so I always stuck with printing.

If I concentrate on what I'm doing I can do either all cursive, or all printing... but 99% of the time it's a mix.

I'll start a sentence in cursive and end it in printing, or switch back and forth depending on the words... really just random... so it seems.

Not sure why it works out like that for me... but that's what happens.
