In a group meeting for our company's client services team, my boss (who is the head of desktop support, among other things) told us how his new computer is so legacy free that it doesn't have PCI slots -- only AGP.

A co-worker called him on it and asked if his network card and sound card also plug into AGP slots, to which he replied yes.

*sigh*

Your co-worker wasn't sly enough. He should've asked what the acronym is for AGP and then follow up with the question, "So, why do they call it 'Accelerated Graphics Port'???"

Same here. I work with a bunch of guys that program and design web sites and I'm the guy in charge of the marketing. I know enough to hold my own in most normal conversations, but occasionally they get too technical when going over some of the programming, database lingo, etc. Everybody's cool about it though and respects one another's area of expertise. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have anything to promote. And if it wasn't for me making sure their work is actually seen they wouldn't have their clients to begin with.
