Do you work full time and live with your parents?

I did for at least a few years after graduating, which is how I managed to save enough for a down payment on a house without needing PMI.

Yes, full time work, full time school and live with mommy and daddy. $10.25/hr and a paid off car would probably enable to live in a cheap apartment with roommates, but I'd rather live at home for free, in a house with a family, and have a small car payment to develop credit.

I do, but I pay rent and help out my dad with the stuff he can't do since a soccer mom damned near broke his neck (three disk fusion surgeries later...). I'm saving up for a down payment on a house, and look forward to getting my own pad. I don't consider this a permenant deal.

Yes, I work full time. I was hired last December. I've been living at home since I graduated from GA Tech in December 2002.

I am currently apartment hunting and plan to move out this Fall.

Edit: I pay for the Internet connection ($50/month) and everything else besides car insurance.

Yes, I work 40+ hours a week at a salaried job and live with the folks. I graduated in May and am saving my $$$ to move out and relocate in the near future. Thing is I live in the Mid West at the moment and have little to no desire to do so which means that paying for a place of my own somewhere that I don't really want to live anyway seems ignorant to me. Cheers!

While I am currently a student I do not work full time.

But when I graudate and work full time I will live at home to save £££ so I can buy a place and move out.

Nope. I have not lived at home since I was 18!

That and the fact that I don't think Skoorbie would want to live with my parents!

23, graduated college, live at home, go to work every weekday 7 - 330.

No need to move out right now. They are not kicking me out and rent is so expensive in NJ. $1000 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment is more then I want to spend right now.

Yes. I'd rather not live at home but my parents want me to to save money. Go figure, they basically told my sister to move out when she had wanted to at age 19. (I'm 22 now)

No, but it's a good idea to save money, unless you just end up spending that money on a nice car and drinking and clothes in which case you = big loser.

One needs to question the merit of paying for a crappy apartment when one could instead stay at home, rent-free, in a much nicer house.

Yes as a temporary messure, I had moved out and moved to another state (TX), however my g/f lost her job and had taken a new one in Atlanta, however I couldn't move with since I have health issues that force me to stay with my current company right now. They had no openings in the area she moved, they had a opening back by my parents in IL, so that is where I moved. It is temporary for sure tho.

0 Debt, living at home, working 40 hours+ a week (22).

My parents need all the help they can get right now. I am helping them demolish and rebuild our old house while moving stuff from a 2nd house to a 3rd house. Once that is done and they are all settled in 1 house, I will then start looking for my own place. It is a lot of work and can't see my dad and mom doing it on their own.

23, work full time, live in a 3br apt with 2 roomates in the city.

The alternative would be to live in a one br apt shared with my bro and mom.

So basically, no way in hell im living at home.

And how much money does one need to save to not be a loser?
