Do you wear your seatbelt?? If not, why??

I have been to thousands of car accidents and have heard some pretty stupid reasons for not wearing seatbelts. I remind them that they probably would have walked away (if they are conscious) if they were wearing it.

My dad, to this day, only wears it on long trips.

How about you??
 
Always.

Although I do take risks (motorcycles are a risk), I minimize them whenever possible. I wear the right gear when I ride and use the seatbelt when I drive.

This way, I have the best chance to enjoy another day.
 
i always wear mine...both my parents are stupid though! about 2 months ago my dad was driving his van and it got flipped over... he got pretty f'ed up...but now he still doesn't wear his seatbelt! ridiculous.
 
i feel weird if i don't put it on. i get all nervous, and the seat feels bad, i feel like i'm gonna fall out of it.

basically, i always wear it 🙂
 
I always wear it in the front, and usually in the back. I'd say that mostly everybody I know does not strap in the rear seatbelts. They always reply, "If we're in an accident, I'll just hit the front seat." Well, personally, I don't want to fly into anything at 50 MPH. Seatbelts are there for a reason. They should always be used and used correctly.
 
The first thing I look for in the newspaper, when it's reporting a bad accident, is mention of whether a belt was worn or not. That helps me decide whether to feel sorry for the victim or not. I know, I know, I'm judgmental that way 😉
 
I always try to have it on, there are way to many bad drivers out there not to have it on. (yes i am sometimes included)
 
Always. It's a law here in California, so I really don't have a choice, but I would wear it anyway even if it wasn't a law.

Tell them from me that they don't just "hit the front seat", they usually end up either outside of the car or still stuck in the windshield.

I almost always do when I'm driving or in the front seat. If I'm in the back I rarely, if ever, wear a seatbelt.

I always wear a seatbelt. It only takes three seconds to put on and hey, it might save your life one day.

I wear my seat belt because i know I am one of the best drivers in this world. Dont get me wrong....Really I am. I consider myself one of the safest drivers ever. If you ask "why" I wear a seatbelt then? Its because of all the idiot drivers out there. Has this ever happened to you: you're driving down the street, when a person (Female) is in front of you(foreign) and something happens, no matter what the reason, they just freeze... Like they dont know how to react to an awkward situation. ie:they did'nt see you comming when they started a turn out so they just freak out. THESE type of drivers need to be taken off the streets. Dont get me wrong. I am the least bias/racial/prejudice person out there believe me. I have 5 asian friends, 1 black friend, 2 white friends. All of my asian friends bitch about female asian drivers. *especially foreign. they cannot drive. So if I offended anyone in my post. I am very very sorry. But comming from san gabriel vally (if you have ever been there) you would know what I'm talking about. These are my reasons for wearing seatbelts.
 
i wear it all the time because i am not an idiot. 🙂

(and no, that is NOT debateable despite what i am sure a lot of you were thinking)
 
hate to say it but i never do, the 'short end' part is stuck under the seat in my pickup and im just too lazy to fix it..im sure ill learn my lesson the hard way 🙁
 
Always.. The stupidest reason for not wearing one is that it's annoying.. I'd say its far more annoying to crush the steering wheel to the dash with your chest. :Q
 
I always wear a seat belt when I drive. I sometimes don't wear my seat belt when I am a passenger though, not smart but I'll make sure I do from now on though.

So silly NOT to wear a seat belt I think. So simple and it will save your life.......
 
Always wear mine. its just habit; sit down, strap in. i dont take off without everyone strapped in either.
