Do you wear glasses? How much does that cost you yearly?

Been 6 months only since I made new glasses, and here I am again having to spend some more on my eyes.

For this year only I spent around $700...

Bought a pair three years ago for $250, haven't invested another cent in them. So, about $83 a year.

I wear rigid contact lenses, they're $400 a set. Luckily my insurance covers 90% of that, I only pay $40. I've had two sets in two months, though, at this rate it could cost me a fair amount a year. Contact solution isn't cheap either, I spent $40 last month trying to find a solution I didn't react to.

Damn, $700 a year on glasses? I'm guessing your eyes haven't settled down yet? My prescription hasn't changed in years, so I really only need new glasses when I wear out/lose/break/get sick of a pair.

I spent about $200 a couple years ago for my everyday pair and about $250 last fall for a set of prescription wraps (with three sets of lenses:D) from Zeal Optics. Best thing since sliced bread for cycling or other outdoor stuffs.

I think mine are about $100/year. I get a new contact prescription every year, but I only get glasses every two, so on just the glasses, it's about $100.

Edit: Yeah, I can do math. It's only $50/year.

Since I stopped wearing contacts it has decreased significantly but I usually spend around $300-400 a year on frames, a small part of which is picked up by insurance, and then the new lenses are picked up completely by insurance. Other than that I buy some eye wash fluid every once in a while but that's about it.

My insurance pays for 100% of the lens cost and ~$90 of the frames. The pair I'm wearing is two years old and I think I had to pay for about $100 of the cost. So it's about $50/year for me.

EDIT: Didn't notice that your price was in sg dollars.
