Nope. I don't watch many videos of any kind, and I don't need to see anything that's gonna piss me off more than text does.

nope, I have of course seen some videos since it is the internet afterall, but I dont actively look for them, and if I know its what I am watching I generally will switch to something else as I have no real interest in watching.

I sometimes do, it's hard to watch, especially the mexican cartel ones... they make ISIS look like cuddly teddy bears. But even the ISIS ones are so brutal. It's mind boggling that people can be so cruel. Sometimes you need to watch a couple videos like that to get a real dose of reality and realize how blessed you are to not be in those situations. Some serious shit goes on in this world that even fictional movies wont portray because it's just too much.

I support all efforts against ISIS and I'm glad that Canada is involved too. Those bastards need to die. It's just too bad we're too civilized to make them suffer the way they make other people suffer.

Nope. The ISIS videos are made as a propaganda tool. Purely for shock value to scare democratic countries from going to war with them. Folks like that contribute nothing to humanity but suffering. They need to be dealt with swiftly and aggressively.

Like those poor students who got butchered a couple months back. Mexico is such a beautiful country with a rich culture. Shame people have to deal with that kind of savagery. Conflict drugs need the same level of awareness as conflict minerals have received. That's a whole 'nother thread though.

Charlie Hebdo comes to mind but that was very recent. I've googled for the answer and it turns out that it's actually more complicated than simple.

i watched a few beheading videos several years ago. Didn't sit well with me. No need to watch any more.

I should say that some sick part of me is curious about the burning video though. I keep trying to imagine how a person would act if they're being burned alive for real. Do they scream? For how long? Do they flop and convulse? How long do they actually live while on fire? Do their eyeballs pop at some point? The answers to these questions are a mere few clicks away. i can't see how knowing them does me any good though.

I wonder if terrorists know what they're really doing with all these videos? They're slowly convincing a world that is trying so hard to be good and non-genocidal that they all need to die. One day the civilized world is going to make up its mind that the Middle East is a pustulent lesion on the face of the earth that needs drastic cauterisation. Not many people with Internet will shed a tear over it because the most of the worst real life stuff they have seen will have come from there.

I saw the burning video. I don't believe that there was any sound to it. They had only background music to make it seem somewhat patriotic. However, I'd imagine that it would be hard to scream because the fire would have sucked all of the air out of you.

Fuck no. What is wrong with you?

I agree with both of those. The latter is a bit of a touchy topic around here though.

this

I get pissed at the death ones thrown into the Hume thread too. I tend to think that if you like and watch these videos often your fucked in the head if not moreso by what you just watched.

You cant unsee what you see. I have seen death up close and its something that will always be with me. Dont go there if you dont have to.

The worse thing that I've ever seen was a car accident. The man was cut in half but still alive, talking, and fixing his gut. It was very disturbing.

Nope. I don't even like the skateboard ankle breaking videos.

No ... but helmet-less idiot on skateboard meets gravity video's I watch all the time.

I can recall watching Faces of Death movies many years ago out of pure morbid curiosity and then being depressed for days afterwards.
