Is GM killing the Hummer?

The H1 was cool. A military grade vehicle that anyone (with enough cash) could own.

The H2 was OK. They already moved it to a GM frame.

The H3 is useless like a boxy Chevy Yukon.

Is the H4 going to be based off of the Chevy Cavalier?

What do you think about the incredible shrinking hummer?

Actually it's built off of the Colorado frame, even smaller than a Yukon. My manager got one and it's nice and all but to under powered for it's weight and size, that 5 cylinder just isn't cutting it IMO.

H3 is not useless.

has off road capabilities up there with other true Off Roaders.

all Hummer is doing is extending. Hummer would NOT have survived with only one car, and one car alone.

and the H1 is not military grade, it has a few different parts iirc.

the H4 will not happen. they will start building trucks.

and Lokiju hit the ONLY complaint i have EVER read about the H3.

I DON'T MAKE MUCH MONEY
MY PAY IS WAY BELOW AVERAGE
CAN'T AFFORD NO NEW CAR
STILL DRIVING MY 71' MAVERICK

SHE AIN'T TOO FAST
BUT SHE GOOD ON GAS
SHE AIN'T ALL THAT SLOW
TAKES ME EVERYWHERE I WANNA GO

BEEN SEEING THESE NEW VEHICLES RUNNING ROUND
AIN'T GOT NO TRUNK AND STANDING WAY UP OFF THE GROUND

NOW I KNOW THEY WAS MADE FOR CLIMBING MOUNTAINS
AND DRIVING IN THE SNOW
BUT EVERYONE I SEE, TRYIN TO RUN OVER ME
WHEN I'M DRIVING TO THE GROCERY STORE

I'M SICK OF THESE S.O.B.'S, DRIVING THESE S.U.V.'S
TRYING TO RUN OVER ME, WHEN I'M IN MY BEAT UP CAR
I'M SICK OF THESE S.O.B.'S, DRIVING THESE S.U.V.'S
TRYING TO RUN OVER ME, WHEN I'M IN MY BEAT UP CAR!!!

Actually, while the H2 was a total piece of bloated yuppie pavement pounding crap, the H3 is more off-road capable out of the box than any other similar vehicle, with the only downside being the powerplant.

How fast do you need to go off road? The H3 has a better power/weight ratio than the H1, and a host of other very capable off road classics like the Pinzgauer, Jeeps, you name it. It's mainly the pavement pounding soccer dads who place so high a value on horsepower in a truck.

the H1 has a top speed of like 70 MPH. i think we can all agree that no car or truck should be allowed on the road that can't go faster than that.

The Hummer H3 is actually quite a nice vehicle and much more off-road capable than most SUVs around the same price.
