Do you use ZoneAlarm?

Router and ZoneAlarm Pro. Got it for free from my company because it's required for those accessing the company network from home.

I got ZA Pro and it works a lot better than the "Free" version for me.

Now my ICQ has exceeded its rate limit again. This is absolute bullsh*t! I reconnected maybe 2 or 3 times MAX. I was switching between Miranda and regular ICQ so that I could check something, and now I can't connect at all with either.

nope, i did, but it would get annoying because of the popups during games like q3a. im just using winxp pro's firewall for right now.

I have ZA Pro with XP Pro and hate it. For some reason, I get 5 pop ups on every start up even if I check the boxes or actually go into the ZA menu and tell it that it's ok that these programs access the internet.

I'm about to switch over to Tiny Firewall. I had heard that it's pretty good.

The software firewall isn't all that essential for me because I do have a router, but it's always nice to have the added protection.

i've been using zone alarm for quite some time now..never had any problems...
if i had a choice and the budge tho, i'd probably go with checkpoint firewall... 😀

I use my router as a firewall, as well as having Zone Alarm right behind it. You really should create layers of protection, rather than just relying on one firewall (which happens to be implanted into a $200 router...how much quality could that firewall possibly have?)

I haven't had any problems with ZoneAlarm. No "I uninstalled Zone Alarm and now I can't access the internet!" or "I installed Zone alarm and I had to format" problems. Running it on my two win2k computers.
