laptop is my major machine.. i have stopped using my desktop.. infact teh desktop now runs fedora.

I would still keep my desktop, but since i roam around its only need is to store my stuff.. my laptop can do most of everything i need to be done.

I've been using my laptop primarily for the last two months since I've been at home. I like to leave a machine on 24/7 and the laptop is much quieter, produces much less heat, etc. As long as I'm not gaming, it's just fine.

desktop.

my laptop is a POS... the only time it gets used is when my main rig is broken and I need to access the net to find out how to fix it.

I'm thinking of buying a new one that's not 500 MHz w/ 64MB of RAM, but it would only be for use in bed.

When I had both a desktop and laptop, I use the laptop 99% of the time. Now that the desktop is sold and the monitor is fried, I'm on the laptop 100% of the time.

Nice not to be stuck at the desk when I come home, as I'm always stuck at the desk at work. Nice to be able to go outside watch tv with the rest of family while I'm doing my work or surfing the net. Being able to watch DVD movies in bed at night with all lights off is another big plus for me.

And no, I don't take the machine to the crapper with me. Feels wierd lugging a laptop to the toilet if you ask me, and wouldn't want to stink up my precious baby :)

Laptop. My desktop is for storage/server duties/game playing. I opted for portable, so game playing isn't too great on my laptop (although everything else is plenty fast). Now I just need G wireless for my laptop so I can stream video off of the server, copying it before watching it is the suck :)

Laptop, by a large margin... Desktop is only for occasional games, and holding all my files.

spend more time on the desktop rather than my laptop. I usually use my notebook when i'm working on the car and need some kind of DIY guide.

I use my laptop about 75% of the time, to browse the web/type docs. I use my rig mainly to play games or home recording.
