Too much bother to go through all that. Pretty much kills the convenience, at least for me.

Maybe sometime I'll just set up my own personal "cloud" that no one else can touch :p

As a consumer, I hate SAAS and think it is more a disservice. Being completely dependent on a remote company for the functionality of your computer is just silly to me. What if that company goes out of business or you have no internet access? All the sudden, your computer is worth much less and your productivity falls through the floor.

As a programmer, I love it. It is a great way to keep a company in business as the consumer is very dependent on their success. It also makes debugging and updating software much less complicated. No security issues because your customers refuse to update their software.

My coworker mentioned we should use Dropbox.
Since every computer we contemplate on using as a server or anything ends up getting sold before we can set it up.
I already have my own Dropbox account set up. You can't have 2 simultaneous Dropbox accounts on 1 machine, can you?
Haven't really looked into this, nor do I care much. Rather just have a server set up for inventory database & a ticketing system.

Not by choice. I know I'm using the cloud when the 503 errors replace the usual 500 errors.
