Nope, i use hydrogen peroxide. Works great. Softens the wax and makes it so you can hear...also feels fun when its bubbling inside..sorta tickles...

:) kinda like when a dog is scratching himself and his leg twitches in sheer extasy? i hear ya. Q-Tips rock the casbah.

edit - maybe i am thinking of when you scratch a dog's belly and his leg shakes. heh

I use Q-tips to dry off the outer part after a shower. I don't go too deep, but the wetness starts to bother me after awhile unless I do something about it. I don't do much to clean my ears but they tend to be pretty clean.

I read from prevention magazine that using Q-tips could demage you ear drum if insert the Q-tip in too deep. Therefore I only use it around the ear.

i got a ear infection one time and my doctor literally yelled at me because i used q-tips. i told her that i thought most people use them to clean their ears and she just stared at me (implying i was stupid).

so i punched her in the face. twice.

sometimes. but i'm wary of using them because using them can push earwax further up creating plug that's a really tough to remove. happened once and it sucked. even the doc couldn't get it out (thought he got it by syringing but NOT). had to dig it out with one of those metalic thingies

How the hell much ear wax do you HAVE??!!!!

Funny that there is a thread on this... I just clogged my left ear with q tips and my right ear is like 50% clogged... this is really annoying

Sometimes I use them, usually I wait for a clump of wax to fall out. Isn't that a funny feeling when the wax fall out.

Friend of mine used to use a little shovel type stick thingy. He refused to use q-tips
